Linear Thermal Losses

Linear thermal loss lines record junctions along the building structure. Select a line in the 3D model to edit its foundation type, Ψ value, B-factor, and height above the foundation.

  1. Open the project and choose Energy label in the picker at the top of the task navigation
  2. Open the Linear thermal losses group
  3. Select Confirm that linear thermal losses are correct

With nothing recorded, the table shows No calculated linear thermal loss.

  • Type: the junction type
  • LT: the Ψ value
  • Linear thermal losses in this group lists the lines in a group

Hovering a figure shows Line loss length, Line loss type and Surcharge (thermal bridges).

Draw linjetab places a line on the model:

Click along the building to place points, then confirm the linjetab line. When a point sits on an element that already has a linjetab line, the new line copies its Ψ and b-factor.

Set Junction typeChoose a type. Where no line exists to copy from:

Nothing here has a linjetab line to copy from. Choose the junction type, then enter Ψ and the b-factor on the row afterwards.

Edit linjetab: Select a linjetab line, then adjust or confirm its points. Deleting asks Delete this linjetab line?

A line without Ψ and a b-factor counts as 0 W/K and blocks export until both are entered.

  1. Click Ground floor
  2. Click Basement
  3. Click Edit linjetab on a line in the 3D model
  4. Select Insulated aerated concrete
  5. Type in Ψ value
  6. Type in B-factor
  7. Type in Height above foundation
