Hot Water Tank Systems

Configure hot water storage tanks in the Domestic Hot Water category of the Technical Installations task.

  1. Open project editing view
  2. Open the Technical Installations group and select Confirm that technical installations are correct
  3. Navigate to Domestic Hot Water category
  4. Locate Hot Water Tank section
  5. Select an existing tank or click Add in the tank section

Share of hot water
  • Decimal field (0.0-1.0)
Capacity
  • Numeric field (liters)
Heat loss
  • Numeric field (W/K)
B-factor
  • Dropdown with technical-installation B-factor options, such as 1.0 - Against external air and 0.0 - Not applicable
Electric heating
  • Dropdown: Always, Summer, Never
Flow temperature
  • Numeric field (°C)
Solar heating tank with heating coil or electric heating element
  • Checkbox

Internal note

  1. Fill required fields
  2. Click Save button
  3. Configuration applies to project

Decimal Fields:

  • Use format 0.00 (e.g., 0.8)
  • Share of hot water: 0.0-1.0
  • Do not use percentages

Numeric Fields:

  • Enter numbers only
  • Check field label for units (liters, W/K, °C)

Can’t save configuration

  • Check required fields are filled
  • Verify numeric fields have valid numbers
  • Check decimal fields use 0.00 format
  • Verify Share of hot water is between 0.0 and 1.0
  • Try refreshing page

Fields not appearing

  • Check the Technical Installations task is open
  • Verify Domestic Hot Water and Hot Water Tank are visible in the installations panel
  • Try scrolling in panel

Configuration not saving

  • Check internet connection
  • Verify you have edit permissions
  • Try saving again
