Solar Energy Systems

Configure solar energy systems in the Renewables category of the Technical Installations task.

Accessing solar configuration

Section titled “Accessing solar configuration”
  1. Open project editing view
  2. Open the Technical Installations group and select Confirm that technical installations are correct
  3. Navigate to Renewable Energy category
  4. Select installation type:
    • Solar Cell for photovoltaic systems
    • Solar Heating Plant for thermal systems
  5. Click an existing installation to edit it, or click Add to add a new installation

Saving configuration

  1. Fill required fields
  2. Click Save button
  3. Configuration applies to project

Field format notes

Decimal fields:

  • Enter decimal or factor values as numbers

Numeric fields:

  • Enter numbers only
  • Check field label for units (m², kW/m², degrees, W, W/mK)

Orientation:

  • Enter degrees from north

Inclination:

  • Enter degrees from horizontal

Troubleshooting

Section titled “Troubleshooting”

Can’t save configuration

  • Check required fields are filled
  • Verify numeric fields have valid numbers
  • Check decimal fields use valid numeric values
  • Try refreshing page

Wrong installation type selected

  • Solar Cell for photovoltaic systems
  • Solar Heating Plant for thermal systems
  • Delete and create new installation if wrong type

Fields not appearing

  • Check the Technical Installations task is open
  • Scroll to the Renewable Energy category and use the relevant subcategory Add control
  • Try scrolling in panel

Configuration not saving

  • Check internet connection
  • Verify you have edit permissions
  • Try saving again
